Who should have MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy)? EVERYONE!
This gentle therapy boosts your immune system, decreases bloating or congestion (bronchitis/sinusitis/gut issues), helps with edema during pregnancy, decreases pain & swelling from Lymphedema/Lipedema/Cosmetic Surgery procedures, etc.
Note: Some patients who have had lymph nodes removed think they are not at risk for lymphedema because the nodes showed no cancer. What places a patient at risk for lymphedema is that nodes were removed or damaged from radiation. The risk of getting lymphedema (LE) is slight, but it is a lifelong risk and patients need to know how to reduce their chances of getting it.
